My daughter got to attend her very first Daddy Daughter Dance. The theme was FIESTA!
While she opted to wear a more classic, non-theme related little black dress, we made her a colorful headband out of crepe paper to make her look more festive!
I used different colored crepe paper I already had leftover from past birthday parties and an old black headband that my daughter already had. The rosettes were created first and once I was happy with how they looked, I began assembly:
- I started by placing a thin strip of black felt on the top of the headband with my glue gun.
- The center rosette (in this case the red one) was secured first to ensure it was centered on the headband.
- I added the two other rosettes on either side of the center rosette.
- Lastly, I trimmed off some of the felt strip that went past the flowers on either side.
A few minutes later, the FIESTA-inspired headband was ready to rock the Daddy Daughter Dance.
